The Park Hotel and Spa, Chennai, India (2000-2001)

Angles and curves are some of my favorite design elements to work with. This client was eager to try innovative ideas in their flagship hotel, including a dramatic lobby without parallel walls and a watermelon-wedge shaped front desk. The lobby lounge features overhead scrims stretched between walls, with projected ‘Bollywood’ films.

The typical guestroom features a glass- walled bathroom, glass bowl at vanity, and a curved ceiling that hides drapery tracks found at the exterior window and in front of the bath.
