Boston Marriott Renaissance Waterfront, Boston, MA (2004 - 2005)
The ‘Design Book’ is an essential milestone in the Marriott design process. Presented to Mr. Marriott for approval, the ‘Design Book’ I co-wrote included the simple concept “The continual dance of the waves at the shoreline rhythmically covers and uncovers the jewels of the ocean”. Elements of the sea, waves and colours, blend perfectly to create a unique and luxurious environment reminiscent of a cruise ship in full sail.
Inspired by the luxury liners of the 30s and 40s such as the Normandie, the Queen Elizabeth, the Libertine and the Nieuw Amsterdam, the designers of the hotel have provided a base for the guest experience they sought to create: discovery, excitement, leisure, and relaxation.
