Plains Midstream ‘Performance Center’, Plains Midstream Tower, Calgary. (2012-2013)

Mind and body health are greatly increased when the equipment is top-notch, the environment is fully-customizable, and the staff are knowledgeable and engaged. This high-end corporate facility was directed by the CEO, an avid sports enthusiast and philanthropist – he knew quality and requested the best for their employees. In a small footprint we were able to achieve a spectacular facility. The level of detail is unprecedented: for example in the cardio/yoga room the sprung wood floor rests on an additional 4” of neoprene waffle, the walls are soundproofed, the ceiling is stretched fabric with indirect lighting (based on Kahn’s Kimbell Art Center), The mirrors are all edge lit, all AV is cordless, and multiple window shading devices create a multi-functional environment.
